Croat mining guide

Croat is new coin based on most anonymously algorithm – Cryptonote. In this article let`s find out how to mine this coin?

  1. Wallet
  2. Pool
  3. Soft and configuration

Wallet

At first download wallet for your OS, To do this, move the cursor over the tab “Home” and click on button “Download”.

And choose wallet for your system, and download it.

To install the wallet run the file CroatCoreSetup_v1_55_win_x64.exe. After, run icon “CroatCore” from your desktop and wait for wallet synchronization. Its may taking a long time – near day.
After sync let`s create new wallet, choose tab “Wallet” and click on button “New Wallet”.

Now fill fields in the form.

Pool

I recommended to use croat.pool.cat, because it have hash rate: 300.42 KH/s, with a total network 1.23 MH/s.

Other pools:

Soft and configuration

On CPU:

I’m using xmr-stak-cpu, since this program gives a hash more than the Claymore CPU.

Go to the resource GitHub and download the version for the processor.

First, configure the “config” file, you can open it using notepad or visual studio.

Next we find the strings:

“pool_address” : “pool.usxmrpool.com:3333”,
“wallet_address” : “”,
“pool_password” : “”,
They need to be replaced by:
“pool_address” : “croat.pool.cat:3333”,
“wallet_address” : “CqMecKXb4mH1neYLcykKBXft4fwhCKQsi4ye9D7LqkFDPevbw8M3JgrCm1drQmnwQz3rnrBihWFeFTtrst8tEDMvPsN17YH”,
“pool_password” : “x”,

And looking for a search:

“cpu_threads_conf” :
null,

Change it to:

loading...

“cpu_threads_conf” : [
{ “low_power_mode” : false, “no_prefetch” : true, “affine_to_cpu” : 0 },
{ “low_power_mode” : false, “no_prefetch” : true, “affine_to_cpu” : 1 },
{ “low_power_mode” : false, “no_prefetch” : true, “affine_to_cpu” : 2 },
{ “low_power_mode” : false, “no_prefetch” : true, “affine_to_cpu” : 3 },
{ “low_power_mode” : false, “no_prefetch” : true, “affine_to_cpu” : 4 },
{ “low_power_mode” : false, “no_prefetch” : true, “affine_to_cpu” : 5 },
{ “low_power_mode” : false, “no_prefetch” : true, “affine_to_cpu” : 6 },
],

Each line is the connection of another processor core. I have a eight-core therefore I use five, and I leave one for work.

Save and run as admininstrator this file “xmr-stak-cpu”.

You should see the that console window:

GPU AMD

For AMD graphics processing unit I recommended to use Claymore CryptoNote GPU Miner, which you can download from developers link.

Download and unpack archive. Find file start.bat, and edit via any text editor.

Paste in this file next strings:

TIMEOUT 5
@echo off
set GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT=100
@echo on
NsGpuCNMiner.exe -o stratum+tcp://croat.pool.cat:3333 -u CqMecKXb4mH1neYLcykKBXft4fwhCKQsi4ye9D7LqkFDPevbw8M3JgrCm1drQmnwQz3rnrBihWFeFTtrst8tEDMvPsN17YH -p x -a 4 -nofee 1 -allpools 1
pause

And run this file. You should see the that console window:

GPU NVIDIA

Download miner ccminer-cryptonight-206-x64, from Github https://github.com/KlausT/ccminer-cryptonight/releases/tag/2.06
Let`s create file croat.bat, and paste next strings:

setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

ccminer-cryptonight -o stratum+tcp://croat.pool.cat:3333 -u CqMecKXb4mH1neYLcykKBXft4fwhCKQsi4ye9D7LqkFDPevbw8M3JgrCm1drQmnwQz3rnrBihWFeFTtrst8tEDMvPsN17YH -p x
pause

Run this file, and you should see the that console window:

Now let’s check mining process on pool.

At first change language in site`s top menu.

Find field “Your Stats & Payment History”, and enter your address, after click on the button “Lookup”.

If you have problems, please recheck the code.
