Cudo Miner is a mining software that emphasizes ease of use and accessibility, with a twist: it donates a portion of profits to charity if you enable it. It supports GPU and CPU mining for coins like Ethereum, Ravencoin, and Bitcoin Gold.
The software auto-detects your hardware and optimizes settings, so you’re up and running fast. The UI is sleek and modern, with a dashboard that tracks earnings and performance. It’s less intimidating than tools like Awesome Miner, though advanced users might find it restrictive.
Auto-coin switching is included, plus remote monitoring via a web console. It also integrates with third-party pools and has an “eco-mode” to reduce power usage. The charity angle is optional but unique.
On my test rig (RTX 3070), it averaged 30 MH/s on Ethereum, slightly below NiceHash but still respectable. Stability was great—no crashes over a week of use. Payouts are in BTC, with a high minimum (0.002 BTC) unless you pay to lower it.
Cudo takes a 1.5-6.5% cut depending on your mining volume (lower for bigger miners), which is steeper than some alternatives.
Cudo Miner strikes a balance between simplicity and functionality, making it ideal for hobbyists who want decent returns without much tinkering. Serious miners might prefer lower fees elsewhere, but it’s a strong contender for ease of use.
